The Hearing Research group at the University of Sheffield (https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/hearing) is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to investigate signal processing in the mammalian cochlea in vivo.
The project will primarily involve using in vivo 2-photon imaging and AAV-gene delivery applied to a wide range of transgenic mice. Ideally, candidates should have knowledge of and expertise in optical calcium-imaging and related analysis.
The appointee must also be able to contribute significantly to the ongoing research in Prof. Marcotti’s laboratory by designing, developing and performing experiments, data analysis and disseminating the findings by writing articles and by presenting findings at conferences and seminars. The successful candidate will be required to work in collaboration with other postdocs and PhD students in the lab. As such, the ability to work in a team is essential.
The position is full-time for 36 months. Preliminary inquiries, together with a CV, should be sent to: Walter Marcotti (w.marcotti@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
