The Hearing Research Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking a PhD student for an NIH-funded project examining associations between the auditory efferent system, hearing in
noise, and listening effort in adults. Additional information about the project can be found on

The position will begin in August 2025. Individuals with a background in audiology, neuroscience, psychology, engineering, or a related area are encouraged to apply. Individuals with experience conducting physiologic and/or behavioral assessments
of auditory function are especially encouraged to apply.
The Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Illinois is a research-oriented degree that prepares students for academic research careers in the field
of communication sciences and its disorders.
