[AUDITORY] PhD position in human auditory physiology and perception at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign



The Hearing Research Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking a PhD student for an NIH-funded project examining associations between the auditory efferent system, hearing in noise, and listening effort in adults. The position will begin in August 2025. Individuals with a background in audiology, neuroscience, psychology, engineering, or a related area are encouraged to apply. Individuals with experience conducting physiologic and/or behavioral assessments of auditory function are especially encouraged to apply.

 

The Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Illinois is a research-oriented degree that prepares students for academic research careers in the field of communication sciences and its disorders.
