Dear Auditory List,

We are excited to announce an NICHD-Funded postdoctoral opportunity at The Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) in the field of pediatric hearing. If selected, the candidate will work under the mentorship of Drs. Ruth Litovsky and/or Carlos Benitez-Barrera, who direct the Binaural Hearing and Speech Lab https://bhsl.waisman.wisc.edu/ and the Pediatric Auditory Experience and Brain Lab https://paeblab.waisman.wisc.edu/ , respectively.

Program Overview

This opportunity is part of the Postdoctoral Training Program in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Research at the Waisman Center. Appointments will be for two years, beginning in the summer of 2025. The program provides multidisciplinary training with an emphasis on social-affective processes, communication, family processes, epidemiology, genetics, and biobehavioral research on IDD, including hearing loss.

Eligibility

NIH requires that trainees in this program be U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, or permanent residents of the United States. Unfortunately, individuals on temporary or student visas are not eligible.
