Re: [AUDITORY] HRTF Listening Test

Dear Pierre,

Thanks for sharing your personal insight into you test taking motivation.

As the in-lab version of this test was around 1 hour, we controlled for as much as we could while still keeping it a valid scientific study. Compressing it much more would render it unapplicable to the question posed.

I hope community members will still feel the interest and motivation to participate, as the study is now is a situation where large population (compared to on-site participants) is needed.

Best regards
-Brian

Samuel,

Because of my 50-year active interest in this very area I would have liked to take your test. However, IMHO its 30-min length has stomped my enthusiasm to ground, which I think might be the feeling shared by the majority of your request’s readers.

All the best,
Pierre

Pardon my typos. It's Apple's fault.

Dear Auditory mailing list members,

As part of continuing research investigating binaural audio and the impact of differences between HRTFs, we have developed an online listening test which we would very much appreciate your participation. We anticipate the test to take roughly 30 minutes to complete. You must use headphones/earbuds to take the test (please provide the make/model when requested). Please find the link to the test here:

Thank you,
Sam Bellows
