Re: [AUDITORY] [EXT] Re: Vintage Photos from 1994 Acoustical Society Meeting P&P

Thank you so much for sharing precious photos! It was my first ASA meeting as last PhD student of Dave Green. Actually I was at that room celebrating Dave's Gold medal. I shared the link with Marian Green and Erv Hafter.

Thanks for sharing memories of ASA 1994 in Boston.  It was my first professional conference as a Ph.D student and I received a travel stipend of $500.  I drove from Cleveland to Boston with one of the ugliest posters made with printed pieces of paper glued on to a board.  I presented my poster (standing next to Terry Picton, not knowing much about him) and met some amazing people including Harmann. It cemented my desire to become an academic thanks to the ASA crowd (and now I am in my 28th year on faculty). I miss going to this meeting lately.

What’s wrong with you all guys and gals? Y’all look so damn young! (…except the few of us who are no longer around…)
History, history…  I miss those Acoustical meetings so much!

Greetings, I found these Acoustical Society meeting photos from 1994. They were taken after the plenary session of the Acoustical Society of America in Cambridge, MA. David M Green won the gold medal and Nathaniel (Nat) Durlach won the silver medal. A P&P party was held afterwards at Northeastern University. Most of the photos were taken by Chuck Watson. I left the party early to go hear the Boston Pops and gave Chuck my camera.
