[AUDITORY] FINAL CALL — Application round for International students for MA in Music and Science (University of Jyväskylä, Finland)



Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the next international application round for the Master’s Degree Programme in Music and Science at the University of Jyväskylä (Finland).

The Master's Degree Programme in Music and Science is aimed at students interested in understanding the various functions of music in contemporary life by examining music through a cognitive, psychological and societal lens. The programme is multidisciplinary, and suitable for individuals from various backgrounds including musicology, music education, music technology, music therapy, and psychology/cognitive science. Study topics include: Music & Emotion, Music Cognition, Embodiment in Music, Therapeutic Uses of Music, Music & Creativity, Computational Music Analysis.

The degree programme is a two-year, bilingual (English and Finnish) course run by some of the world’s leading researchers in music cognition, music psychology, and music therapy. It is closely affiliated to two flagship research projects hosted by the Department of Music, Arts & Culture Studies:


The application round is open January 3-17, 2024
