[AUDITORY] Deadline soon: Post-doc in listening-related fatigue at Technical University Denmark and Eriksholm/Oticon

Hi AUD list, last chance to apply for this post-doc position at DTU Hearing Systems and Eriksholm/Oticon.

We have an interesting position which will allow the candidate to join two great working environments in Denmark. The post-doc is based at the Hearing Systems Section at DTU, but will also involve working closely with me, Dorothea Wendt, and Jeppe Høy Konvalinka Christensen at Eriksholm Research Centre (part of Oticon A/S).  The project also involves further collaboration partners at the University of Copenhagen and the University of Birmingham. It’s a terrific network!

The full job description is here: https://efzu.fa.em2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_1/job/2834?location=Denmark

Start date: March 2024 or by arrangement

Duration: 2 years

Appl deadline: Jan 15

We are seeking a candidate to join the project ‘ALFi: Assessment of listening fatigue in daily life’, which aims to develop methods to assess and predict the additional cognitive effort that hearing-aid users typically need to exert, compared to normal-hearing peers, when listening in noisy environments in everyday life. This project will employ a hybrid experimental approach combining laboratory tests with longitudinal field trials spanning several weeks. The candidate’s main working place will be at DTU Hearing Systems (Lyngby, Denmark) and Oticon Eriksholm Research Centre (Snekkersten, Denmark).

Methods: fNIRS, pupilometery, psychophysical testing with hearing aid users in both lab and field situations.

Further information may be obtained from Dorthea Wendt, wendt@xxxxxx,  Professor Torsten Dau, tdau@xxxxxx, or me (hainne@xxxxxx).
