[AUDITORY] Announcement: Cochlear Implant Hackathon. Registration Now Open.

Hello List!

I'd like to announce an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in cochlear implants! Registration is now open to join an online contest designed to help advance signal processing for cochlear implants: the CI Hackathon!

The CI hackathon is the result of work from a multidisciplinary team from the University of Minnesota and the University of California San Francisco with support from Advanced Bionics.
Hackathon contestants will join teams and try to compete against each other to develop cochlear implant signal processing algorithms based on a model of the signal processing in current Advanced Bionics cochlear implants. Algorithms will be used to process sound stimuli including speech and music and the processed sounds will be crowd-judged by other contestants and anyone else who signs up on our website.

We are looking for both interested coders and judges to sign up on our website:
https://cihackathon.com/

Cash prizes are available to winners of the crowd judging phase!

The contest officially begins December 1!

See you online!
