Dear AUDITORY list, We are looking for musicians and non-musicians to take part in an online research study to assess the influence of the balance system on hearing abilities. To take part you must: If you are a musician: Actively play an instrument at least 3 days a week, for at least the last 3 years. If you are non-musician: No experience of formal musical training (did not actively play an instrument at least 3 days a week in the last 3 years) Be aged 18-45 years old Not have a clinically defined hearing loss Not have ear malformation and disorders, neurological or systemic disease, or a history of ototoxic/vestibulotoxic drug use As part of this study, you will be asked to complete two separate online testing sessions. The first is a general questionnaire about your hearing health and balance. The second is a series of tests to assess your hearing abilities to be
completed at a later date (TBC). Each online testing session will take a maximum of 30 minutes to complete. You will be entered into a prize draw to win Amazon vouchers for taking part in this study. There will be separate prize draws for each part of the study.
