[AUDITORY] Open position at the ARI/ÖAW
Dear all,
The Acoustics Research Institute (ARI) of the Austrian Academy of
Sciences (ÖAW) offers a position for an Academy Scientist (f/m)
for open-source toolbox maintenance and development (full time, 40
h/week).
We are looking for a scientist who will work closely together with
all working groups of the institute in a multi-disciplinary
research context. The duties of the successful candidate will be:
- Maintenance of the open-source toolboxes LTFAT and AMT. The
Large Time-Frequency Analysis Toolbox (LTFAT) hosted by ARI is a
Matlab/Octave toolbox for working with time-frequency analysis
and synthesis. The Auditory Modeling Toolbox (AMT) is a
Matlab/Octave toolbox intended to serve as a common ground for
all auditory modelling.
- Assisting other researchers with the implementation of
scientific models and methods.
- The further development of LTFAT (in cooperation with
scientists from the Mathematics and Signal Processing in
Acoustics work group) and AMT (in cooperation with scientists
from the Psychoacoustics and Experimental Audiology work group)
including implementations, publication, and dissemination work.
- To a lesser extent, some standard IT tasks.
The candidate should be able to show:
- A PhD (or equivalent degree) with background in time-frequency
analysis, signal processing, frame theory and/or auditory
modelling.
- Excellent programming knowledge in Matlab/Octave and C++
- Potential to extend the LTFAT and AMT toolbox.
