[AUDITORY] Job openings at Oscilloscape, LLC

Oscilloscape, LLC, a machine listening startup creating innovative technologies for music and speech, is looking for people to develop, train and test new neural network and machine learning algorithms for sound, and to maintain and expand an existing codebase. We are a small team, so you must be comfortable wearing multiple hats and be self-motivated. You will work at the intersection of neuroscience, music/auditory perception, and physics, and you will help bring new products to market. Oscilloscape is located in the Hartford CT area, equidistant from Boston and New York. Remote work is possible for the right individual.


1. Software Engineer 
Must Haves
5+ years experience developing real-world applications
Object-oriented C++ mastery (complex code that runs fast)
Create/maintain CMake build chain
Write code that runs cross-platform (MacOS, Linux, Windows, ARM)
Background in Physics, Mathematics, and/or Music Technology
Basic Linux administration (init scripts, package installation, etc)
Android/iOS app development
Ability to read and write MATLAB code
Scientific programming and code acceleration
Practical knowledge of electronics
Amazon EC2/S3
Can come up with your own bit-banging communication protocol if necessary

Good to Haves
Experience writing audio-processing software
Have launched at least one iOS/Android app
Embedded software development (Raspberry Pi, Arduino)
Experience building/tinkering with Raspberry Pi/Arduino hardware
Have created at least one cool thingy using Pi/Arduino/electronics
Experience writing software that communicates via Bluetooth
GPU acceleration
Basic knowledge of music 

2. Music Data Scientist
Must Haves
MS or equivalent experience in Music Technology or related field 
Strong background in statistics and/or machine learning
Proficiency with Python (scientific libraries), R, or other scientific computing language
Experience with the design and execution of large-scale quantitative analyses
Good object-oriented programming skills
Fluency with at least one high-level programming language
Basic knowledge of C++
Comfort navigating Linux
Familiarity with shell scripting for data analysis
Ability to learn new things quickly

Good to Haves
PhD in Music Technology related field 
Ability to read and write MATLAB code
Background in Physics and/or Mathematics 
Electronics tinkering experience
Cross-platform development (MacOS, Linux, Windows, ARM)
Amazon EC2/S3
