POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN LONGITUDINAL LANGUAGE GROWTH MODELING - Northwestern University

Hello all,

I am posting this for my colleague, Dr. Megan Roberts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has strong quantitative skills. Please forward to anyone who might be interested.

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN LONGITUDINAL LANGUAGE GROWTH MODELING

The overall mission of the Early Intervention Research Group (EIRG) is to support and enhance early development of infants and toddlers. The following goals guide this mission: to empower families to implement effective early intervention strategies, to increase implementation of evidence-based and family-centered practices in early intervention, and to understand the best ways to adapt and customize intervention strategies based on child and family characteristics.  We work with several populations of children, including typically developing children, late-talking toddlers, children with autism spectrum disorders, and children with hearing loss. While our lab focuses on translational research, we also explore basic mechanisms underlying child language acquisition and the role that parents and caregivers play in this process.

As a member of EIRG, the post-doctoral fellow will focus on methodological support in conducting analyses of extant data, as well as initial analyses of baseline data from current randomized-control trials of treatment procedures for toddlers with autism.  Other responsibilities include contributing to manuscript preparation and development of behavioral coding systems.
