Two audiology faculty positions at CU Boulder



Audiology Faculty Positions in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Science at the University of Colorado Boulder

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS), University of Colorado Boulder, invites applications for two tenure-track positions in audiology at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2016.

Candidates in any area of audiology such as aging, amplification, cochlear implant psychophysics, aural rehabilitation, otoacoustic emissions, genetics and cognitive aspects of hearing loss are encouraged to apply.

Minimum qualification is a Ph.D. degree in audiology or related field at the time of hire. Clinical experience in the field of audiology is desirable.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to have an active and independent research program and to provide evidence of promise or success in extra-mural research funding.  Candidates are expected to maintain their vigorous research program and have enthusiasm for undergraduate and graduate teaching.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach and mentor students in the department’s clinical Au,D. program and in the undergraduate and Ph.D. programs.   Salary and start-up are competitive and commensurate with experience.  International candidates are welcome to apply.

 

The SLHS department includes highly ranked, CAA accredited clinical graduate programs in Audiology and SLP and offers B.A., M.A., Au.D., and Ph.D. degrees.  The successful candidate will benefit from SLHS’s thriving and dynamic ties with other offerings on the Boulder campus such as the Institute of Cognitive Science, the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, the Intermountain Neuroimaging Consortium, the Institute of Behavioral Genetics, the Department of Linguistics, the Department of Otolaryngology and Audiology & the Children’s Hospital at the Anschutz campus of the University of Colorado at Denver Medical School, the Marion Downs Center, the Veterans Administration and Cochlear Corporation in the Denver area.
