(Apologies for cross-posting) The Music, Imaging, and Neural Dynamics Laboratory (MIND Lab) at Wesleyan University (www.mindlab.research.wesleyan.edu) invites applications for a full-time Research Associate / Lab Coordinator starting September 2015. The lab coordinator will work with Professor Psyche Loui on studies in music and the brain. Lab coordinator duties include designing and implementing research in music and auditory cognitive neuroscience, while maintaining the daily activities of the MIND lab. Research duties include programming and conducting behavioral and neuroimaging (EEG, ERP, structural and functional MRI) experiments with human subjects, collecting and analyzing behavioral and neuroimaging data, and writing manuscripts for publication. This is a one-year position with continuation dependent upon continued funding. The lab coordinator will have opportunities to pursue independent projects, earn authorship on publications, and attend conferences in the field. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field Basic technical and computing skills (e.g. Microsoft Office) Prior research experience with human subjects Organizational skills Problem solving skills Attention to detail Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in MATLAB and the Unix environment Quantitative and/or statistical expertise Prior experience with human neuroimaging techniques (EEG, MRI, fMRI, DTI) Musical experience and interests preferred but not required
