Hi Jan
The huge bulk of tinnitus cases is high-frequency noise on both ears and
the most probable cause is insufficient neural inhibition at various central
levels, which in turn is caused by acoustic and general stress going beyond the
normal capabilities of the neural systems to balance things. It was observed
that all types of therapies are effective as long as they are successful in
calming down the patients. There are masses of literature. I hope these basic
observations help in sorting it out.
