PhD or Postdoc Position at the University of Heidelberg, Germany
PhD or Postdoc in neuropsychology of cortical hearing disorders at the
Department of Neurology, University of Heidelberg, Germany.
The position is available in the context of a BMBF-funded research
project at the Department of Neurology. The focus of the position will
be in neuropsychological studies of patients suffering from acute and
chronic lesions of the auditory cortex or from clinical neglect.
Patients are recruited at the department?s stroke service and at a
collaborating rehabilitation hospital in Heidelberg. Patient studies
primarily involve behavioural testing and structural imaging, but also
functional studies. The group?s research is focused in auditory
perception and cognition, using fMRI, MEG, and psychophysical
techniques, which are all available on site.
Candidates should have training in psychology or related fields with
either a master-level degree or Ph.D. in neuropsychology, hearing
research, or neuroscience. Fluency in German is required for
interaction with patients. Salary is according to the German TVL,
group 13 for postdocs, and 50% TVL 13 for PhD students.
