You might try Nuance Realspeak.

They have both an Australian accented male and female.

Unfortunately this is not free...

I’m currently using the Microsoft Speech API. It sounds good, but there is only one voice: Microsoft Anna.

 

I’m sure Anna is a lovely person, her accent doesn’t suit our target audience. We need longer vowels and fewer /r/’s. J
