MEG programmer position in Toronto
A full time position of a MEG Programmer is available at the Rotman
Research Institute in Toronto, Canada.
Auditory neuroscience is a main field of MEG research at the Rotman
research Institute
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The MEG programmer will be responsible for:
-- Performing all steps of advanced MEG data analysis;
-- Supporting scientists and students with their data analysis;
-- Developing new software tools;
-- Development of advanced data analysis tools which would include
improving MEG source analysis approaches;
-- Integrating imaging modalities and integrating experimental
procedures of MEG with eye tracking and TMS;
-- Training students and post-doctoral fellows in using MEG data
acquisition and data analysis
-- Maintaining the MEG equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
-- M.Sc. degree in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Computer Sciences or other relevant disciplines.
-- Advanced programming skills primarily for MATLAB, shell scripting,
and LINUX administration are essential, as well as a strong motivation
to improve and extend the skills in these fields
-- Familiarity with principles of signal processing in time and
frequency domain, statistical methods of data analysis
-- Previous experience with MEG/EEG data acquisition and analysis or
medical imaging analysis (e.g. fMRI) is highly desirable.
