Fall 2010 internship positions available

Starkey Laboratories, Inc., an equal opportunity employer and a recognized world leader in providing the highest quality hearing technology available, has an exciting opportunity for 2 full-time internship positions for the fall of 2010 at its international headquarters located in Minnesota, USA. This position will have a chance to work with a group of talented signal processing and hearing science researchers to develop and evaluate signal processing algorithms for hearing aids.

Qualifications

A graduate student with an excellent academic standing in electrical engineering, computer science or related field is strongly encouraged to apply. Research experience in hearing aids or cochlear implants is highly desirable. Research experience in audio signal processing algorithms, psychoacoustics or acoustics is a plus.

Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills are required
Proficiency in Matlab is required
Proficiency in C or C++ is required
Proficiency in real-time DSP programming is highly desirable
Familiarity with speech analysis, microphone array processing and audio classification algorithms is a plus
