Hi,

Maybe this is not an answer to your question, but it might help some others in the future:
I use lilypond (http://lilypond.org/) for musical typesetting. Lilypond is free, easy to integrate with latex & html, scores are beautiful (better that finale's in my opinion), and you can choose several output formats including eps, pdf, and midi.
