The ISVR is offering a 5-year PostDoc Fellowship in the area of cochlear
implant design and signal processing at funded by RCUK. These
fellowships used to be called Roberts Fellowships and comprise 5 years
research support with the offer of a Lectureship at the end. Therefore

Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) - Human Sciences Group

ISVR was awarded a 5* rating in the 2001 assessment of research in UK universities.  It was recently awarded the 2006 Queen?s Anniversary Prize for Higher Education for ?Sustained excellence and outstanding achievement in research in sound and vibration over the past 40 years?. 
 
The Institute is now seeking to build on its well-established academic strength by making the following appointment.

The Fellowship is for 5 years and is expected to lead to a Lectureship.  You should have the ability to devise novel solutions to biomedical problems, to work across subject boundaries, a core strength in microelectronics or signal processing, a strong background in experimental work or algorithm development and a desire to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
