POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN PSYCHOACOUSTICS


The interdisciplinary Graduate College "Psychoacoustics" at the Universitaet
Oldenburg, D-26111 Oldenburg, Germany, is seeking for a postdoctoral fellow
with expertise in psychoacoustics, auditory modelling, speech perception,
audiology, or acoustical signal processing for a period of 12 months
(with the option of a second 12 months).

The fellow will perform independent research in the framework of the graduate
college (conducted by professors V. Mellert (Acoustics), B. Kollmeier (Medical
Physics), A. Schick (Environmental Psychology), H. Colonius (Cognitive
Psychology), P. Gorny (Software Ergonomics),v. Westernhagen
(Otolaryngology/Audiology) and R. Steinert (Otolaryngology)).
(S)he will also be responsible for advising doctoral students within the
college and performing minor administrative duties. The annual salary is
DM 32.880 (tax-free) + additional expenses for spouse and children + travel
expenses.

Applicants should have a background in physics, engineering, experimental
psychology, computer science or human physiology and should have finished their
Ph.D. in one of the research areas of the college. They should be younger than
33 years and should have working knowledge of the German language.
