Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate – Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience

The Brain, Beats & Bionics Lab (BBB Lab) is opening new positions for a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Research Associate to join our multidisciplinary team exploring auditory cognition, neural plasticity, hearing restoration, and computational neuroscience.
We work at the intersection of neuroscience, engineering, psychoacoustics, and clinical research, with collaborations across McGill University, the Brain Repair and Integrative Neuroscience Program, Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC-RI BRaIN Program), the Centre for Research on Brain, Language and Music (CRBLM) ,the International Laboratory for Brain, Music, and Sound Research (BRAMS), and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music, Media and Technology (CIRMMT).

Who We’re Looking For
We will consider applicants at either the Postdoc or Research Associate level, applicants without a completed or nearing completion PhD won’t be considered.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Audiology, or a closely related field, and demonstrate strong research experience in auditory neuroscience or related domains. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following: EEG or biosignal acquisition and analysis, signal processing, psychoacoustics, statistical modeling, data analysis, or machine learning, with proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python. Experience with experimental design, computational or neuro-behavioral methods, and scientific writing (peer-reviewed publications and/or grant contributions) is expected. Candidates should be able to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary research team, and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in clinical or hospital-based research environments is an asset. Proficiency in English is required; French is an asset but not mandatory.
