Re: [AUDITORY] Call for Papers: Spatial and binaural hearing: From neural processes to applications

Dear all,

because of several requests, we have extended the deadline for our special issue (see below) until the end of January 2026

If you have research fitting the topic of spatial and binaural hearing, you might consider submitting your manuscript to our special issue. See https://acta-acustica.edpsciences.org/news for more information.

We wish you happy holidays,

Dear all,

we cordially invite contributions to a special issue on “Spatial and binaural hearing: From neural processes to applications” to be published in the open-access journal Acta Acustica, the journal of the European Acoustics Association (EAA).

In this special issue, we will collect articles describing recent advances in experiments, models, and applications with a particular focus on spatial and binaural hearing. The implementation of computational auditory models and data can be linked with the auditory modeling toolbox (AMT), which release will be coordinated with this special issue, setting a baseline of reproducible results for future research.

Guest editors are:

The deadline for the manuscript submission is 30. November 2025. The papers will be handled and published on a rolling basis. Submissions can be done in Latex or MS Word. Note that Acta Acustica is a fully Diamond Open Access journal: The journal is free for readers and the authors, i.e., the authors do not have to pay any article processing charges to publish in it.

If you wish to receive early feedback from the guest editors on whether your article is in scope for the special issue, please email your abstracts directly to the guest editors at the email addresses above.

More information about the special issue can be found at Acta Acustica, particularly here: https://acta-acustica.edpsciences.org/images/stories/topicals/aacus_spatial-and-binaural-hearing.pdf

Best regards,

Piotr Majdak, Norbert Kopčo, Mathieu Lavandier
