[AUDITORY] Organizing ASA special session: Effects of noise and hearing loss on cognitive and affective behavior

Hi, all. A couple of us are proposing to organize a special session for the Acoustical Society of America meeting in Philadelphia, May 11-15, 2026: Effects of noise and hearing loss on cognitive and affective behavior in animals.

Would anyone like to co-host a human component? We could propose to make it a joint Animal Bioacoustics/Physiological and Psychological Acoustics session. This is rather time-sensitive, so please email me directly no later than Thursday Nov 18, 5pm. alauer2@xxxxxxxx

Also, if you might be interested in speaking, please reach out to me. We'll eventually have to submit a list of invited speakers. We would especially like to highlight the work of early career/junior investigators and those who are new to this line of research.

Best,

Amanda
