Position description
The post-doc will work in the UT CARE Lab (https://slhs.utexas.edu/research/ut-care-lab/home) housed
in the Department of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences, the University of Texas at Austin.
The candidate will
be able to work on projects broadly focused on peripheral auditory mechanisms, computational auditory models (cochlear and efferent auditory systems), and/or subclinical hearing loss. We strongly encourage the development
of independent projects that may include related techniques, such as auditory evoked potentials, OAEs, machine learning, etc., and expect the candidate to seek external grant funding. This position is 100% grant-funded for two years
and is contingent upon the availability of funds and the grant period.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in audiology, electrical engineering (signal processing), neuroscience, biomedical engineering, hearing science, or
a related field. Experience in signal processing, MATLAB, Python, and computational modeling is desired.
