I wanted to share the opportunity for a summer research placement in our department in Cambridge. If you know of any undergraduate students who may be interested please forward this on to them.
There are two proposed research projects that may be relevant to those on this list and are described in more detail on the website below. One project is with Lizzie Buchanan-Worster and Matt Davis with a focus
on pure tone auditory perception online vs in person, and the second is with Dorothée Arzounian with a focus on plasticity of vocoded voice pitch perception.

Undergraduate Summer Placement Scheme at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, University of Cambridge
Monday 8 July – Friday 16 August 2024
The scheme offers 6-weeks research placements to four students who are studying at a UK or Republic of Ireland university for their undergraduate bachelor degree
who are in their penultimate year of study. The summer placements are suitable for those studying psychology, cognitive sciences, neuroscience or a related discipline, who are considering postgraduate study, and who do not have previous significant research
experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for interested and motivated students to:

get hands on research experience
·
acquire and develop a range of skills
·
interact with fellow summer placement students, postgraduate students and research staff
Scheme details
Placement students will join a current research group and work in a shared office at the CBU. Students will receive a stipend calculated
using the National Living Wage of £11.44 per hour, which will be paid at the end of the placement, and have the opportunity to rent accommodation from Downing College in central Cambridge (cost will be deducted from final stipend).
