[AUDITORY] Multiple tenure track, post doc and PhD opportunities in Hong Kong

Dear list,

I would like to draw your attention to tenure track opportunities at the recently established Gerald Choa Neuroscience Institute (GCNI) in Hong Kong.
The GCNI was founded as a division of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a generous bequest, which makes it possible to offer generous start-up packages and highly competitive remuneration to young researchers who are ready to step up from senior post doc to faculty member.
CUHK consistently ranks in the top 100 universities globally in international rankings, and Hong Kong offers a fabulous quality of life (as I can attest from my own personal experience over the last 8 years 😃)
The opportunities are open to scientists from any neuroscience sub-discipline, but I will be joining the GCNI myself next month, and I would obviously be delighted if we were able to attract people working in audition to this opportunity.
Note that the GCNI is looking to fill multiple positions (we are looking for about 5-6 in this round) so this may be a good opportunity for people with a two-body problem.
The official job advertisement is here:
https://cuhk.taleo.net/careersection/cu_career_teach/jobdetail.ftl?job=230001QV&tz=GMT%2B08%3A00&tzname=Asia%2FHong_Kong
I am happy to answer any questions you may have about this opportunity.

I will be setting up my own new lab at CUHK from next month, taking on a joint appointment between the GCNI, the ENT department at the CUHK medical school, and the school of biomedical sciences. I am looking for postdocs, research assistants and PhD students to join me there and to engage in cochlear implant research, both in an animal model and on human patients. So if you are not quite ready to become faculty but are interested in a more junior position in HK, drop me a line.

Best wishes,

Jan
