Welcome to the 7th International Conference on Cognitive Hearing Science for Communication
June 9th – 12th 2024 in Linköping, Sweden

We are thrilled to welcome you to the vibrant city of Linköping, the host city for CHSCOM 2024. This conference continues to serve as a unique platform, bringing together the finest minds in the field of cognitive hearing science.

Commitment to Excellence
Our commitment to fostering high scientific quality remains unwavering. This year, we have carefully curated sessions revolving around four distinct themes, showcasing the latest advancements, research, and discussions within the world of cognitive hearing science. The themes are Hearing, cognition and wellbeing, Communicative effort, fatigue, and ecological assessment, Neural coding of auditory and multisensory signals and Technologies in hearing science and translation.

Inclusivity & Diversity
Diversity breeds innovation. Keeping this ethos in mind, we are proud to emphasize our equal balance of male and female keynote speakers in different stages of seniority and from different places around the globe. We aim to ensure that CHSCOM continues to be an inclusive environment where every voice is heard and valued.

Informal & Engaging
While we place a high emphasis on academic rigor, we also believe that some of the best discussions happen in relaxed environments. Hence, we have consciously crafted a conference atmosphere that's as much about fostering informal discussions as it is about formal presentations. Our emphasis on social activities is designed to provide participants with ample opportunities for networking, collaboration, and casual discussions.

We proudly present our collaborators:
William Demant Foundation and The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Linköping University.

What's New?
The scientific committee has been expanded to include researchers from Denmark, the UK, and Canada. For the first time in CHSCOM history, we will feature a live podcast during the conference. We are excited to bring you engaging discussion/interview and insights in this dynamic format. We also bring back the preconference for early career researcher that have been part of the earlier CHSCOM conferences and there will be scholarships for junior scientists to apply for to CHSCOM2024.

We invite you to be a part of this enlightening journey. Let's delve deep into the realms of cognitive hearing science, engage in stimulating discussions, and build connections that last a lifetime.

See you in Linköping!
