Dear colleagues, Applications are invited for a Research Associate/Fellow (until June 2025), based in the Scottish Section of the University of Nottingham’s Hearing Sciences department,
located in Glasgow. This post is part of Dr Lauren Hadley's UKRI funded programme, which focuses on how people process speech when listening in conversation, and, specifically, how this differs between people with normal and impaired hearing (https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/research/groups/hs-predict/index.aspx).
Research Associate/Fellow (until 30th June 2025). The successful candidate will develop and execute specific elements of the programme to address the mechanisms involved in predicting speech in conversation. The post-holder
will be involved in a range of research using behavioural paradigms, eye-tracking, electroencephalography, and transcranial magnetic stimulation and will primarily design, analyse, and write up studies, while overseeing the work of
research assistants. Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent experience in
psycholinguistics, experimental psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, hearing sciences
or a related area. Key requirements are strong statistical skills, experience designing psycholinguistic or hearing experiments, and enthusiasm for collaborating with others. More details, and the application portal, can be found here:
