[AUDITORY] Assistant Professor position in Audiology/Hearing Science at the University of Maryland College Park

The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University of Maryland College Park has an opening for an Assistant Professor in Audiology/Hearing Science. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with preference given to applications received by October 31.

          The Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences (CAA-accredited) invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in Audiology/Hearing Science, beginning September 2023. Qualifications for the faculty position include an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or dual degree Au.D./Ph.D.) in audiology, hearing science, or related area. All areas will be considered.

Preference will be given to those candidates whose research, teaching, and/or service address diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) and social determinants in hearing healthcare. Applicants should demonstrate a publication record, teaching experience, and history of external funding commensurate with level of appointment. CCC-A or ABA Certification is strongly preferred. Responsibilities include establishing an independent research program, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and participating in departmental and university activities. Salary is negotiable, depending upon qualifications and experience.
