This is a friendly reminder about the application deadline coming up on October 1 for two faculty positions in our department.
We are seeking two new faculty members to join our growing and vibrant cohort. The Department of Performing Arts Technology at the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre & Dance integrates the study of music, engineering, and allied arts in a close-knit, collaborative environment across a range of graduate and undergraduate degrees. The faculty is composed of internationally renowned researchers, teachers, artists, and practitioners. A recent $29.5 million facilities renovation has created state-of-the-art studios and research facilities that foster cutting-edge work at the intersection of art, science, and technology. The Department of Performing Arts Technology has opened two faculty searches to support and further propel the department's growth.
- Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track: Successful applicants will be innovative practitioners and/or researchers working at the intersection of computational creativity and artificial intelligence as it applies to music, sound, and visual arts, with a strong musical background and additional interest, experience, and expertise in one or more complementary areas.
- Assistant/Associate Professor, Tenure-Track: Successful applicants will be innovative practitioners and/or researchers in the area of audio engineering and production, with a strong musical background and additional interest, experience, and expertise in one or more complementary areas.
