Position description
The post-doc will work in the UT CARE Lab (https://slhs.utexas.edu/research/ut-care-lab/home)
housed in the Department of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences, the University of Texas at Austin.
The person will work on projects investigating human cochlear and efferent auditory mechanisms, and/or hearing development in children. In particular, the candidate will work on developing and applying
novel biomedical signal processing strategies for time-frequency analysis of otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) and other auditory signals. The candidate will be encouraged to develop independent projects that may include related techniques, such as auditory evoked
potentials, machine learning, etc., and is expected to seek external grant funding. This position is 100% grant-funded for two years and is contingent upon the availability of funds and the period of the grant.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering (signal processing), biomedical engineering, hearing science, or a related field. Experience
in signal processing, MATLAB, Python, and computational modeling is desired.
