[AUDITORY] Postdoc position - University of Miami

A postdoc position is available in the Conscious Audition and Scene Analysis (CASA) Lab @univmiami to work on an NIH-funded project examining the relationship between age, loss of cortical inhibition, and markers of auditory hyperexcitability.

The successful candidate will be a recent or soon-to-be graduate from a PhD program in Hearing Sciences, Engineering, Neuroscience, Psychology, Computer Science, or related fields, and have an interest in auditory cortical processing and aging.

They will have strong computational skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB, R) and experience with the design, conduct, and dissemination of research in the area of audition, neuroscience, or (ideally) both.

The CASA lab uses psychophysics, computational modeling, and multimodal neuroimaging to understand how humans perceive and process sound. We have access to state-of-the-art facilities including high-density EEG, multiple 3T MRI systems, and high-res eye-tracking.

The University of Miami has strong and growing communities in both hearing and neuroscience and is situated in a warm, vibrant, and international city with strong Latin American and Caribbean influences.
