Position Title: Open Rank – Audiology

Position Description:
The University of South Florida (USF) Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders invites applications for one Open Rank (Assistant/Associate/Professor) and one Assistant Professor in Audiology. Successful applicants will demonstrate (commensurate with rank) strong teaching skills, a research agenda, research productivity, and commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the academic community. Responsibilities of the position include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, scholarship, and service to the department, college, university, community, and profession. All areas of expertise will be considered, but preference will be given to a candidate with research interests in pediatric audiology, cochlear implants, human auditory behavior/anatomy/physiology, and electrophysiology. A Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field is required; eligibility for CCC-A is preferred. The position is a 9-month appointment with an anticipated start date of August 2023.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related discipline from an accredited institution.
· Demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
· Must meet university criteria for appointment to the appropriate rank.
Preferred Qualifications:
· History of funding with evidence of a sustainable research program
· Evidence of research productivity commensurate with rank
· Potential for intradepartmental research collaboration
· Expertise in one or more of the following:
o Pediatric audiology
o Cochlear implants
o Human auditory behavior/anatomy/physiology
o Electrophysiology
· Mentoring experience
· Eligibility for CCC-A
