Re: [AUDITORY] Spatial release of masking in virtual environments with HRTFs determined from extra-large heads

Hi Stuart,

Here are two relevant papers. Bigger is better, at least for ILDs.

Brown, C.A. (2014). Binaural Enhancement for Bilateral Cochlear Implant Users. Ear and Hearing, 35, 580–584. https://doi.org/10.1097/AUD.0000000000000044
Brown, C.A. (2018). Corrective binaural processing for bilateral cochlear implant patients. PLOS ONE, 13. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0187965

Does anyone know of relevant articles concerning this topic? It would seem obvious that, at least for ILDs and the better ear effect, bigger could be better (and maybe not), but what about ITDs that are longer than one experiences?

Thanks for any pointers!

Yours - Stuart
