[AUDITORY] Professorship for Intelligent Biosignal Processing

Dear Auditory List,

at the University of Lübeck a

Professorship (W3) for Intelligent Biosignal Processing

is to be filled at the Institute for Signal Processing in the University 
Section of Computer Science and Technology for an unlimited period, to 
begin as soon as possible. Reference is made to §§ 61 and 63 of the 
Higher Education Act of the State of Schleswig-Holstein.

We are looking for an internationally visible personality who represents 
the field of biomedical signal processing, including auditory signal 
processing, in research and teaching. The future job holder should have 
outstanding scientific credentials in biomedical signal processing and 
the use of AI methods, with special knowledge of hearing acoustics and 
audiological technology, biosignal analysis and, if possible, 
human-machine interfaces. Active participation in interdisciplinary 
research activities in medical technology and the successful acquisition 
of third-party funds are expected. In the medium term, the professorship 
is expected to lead the Institute for Signal Processing in the 
University Section of Computer Science/Technology. In addition, it is 
intended to lead the research area of "Artificial Intelligence in 
Biomedical Signal Processing" of the German Research Center for 
Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in the DFKI branch in Lübeck.

In teaching, the professorship will participate in the degrees offered 
by the Computer Science/Technology Section and, in particular, will take 
over the management of the master's degree in Hearing Acoustics and 
Auditory Technology in the medium term.

A PhD is an employment prerequisite. Additionally, applicants must 
include evidence of further scholarly achievements as a junior professor 
or a post-doctoral researcher, or of equivalent scholarly achievements, 
which may also fall outside of a university context.

achievement, women are granted primary priority. Applicants with a 
severe disability and the appropriate qualifications are granted priority.
