The position is placed within the research project “Neural networks involved in the processing of cognitive demands in noisy conditions”. The aim of the project is to understand neural correlates of the interaction between noise (e.g.,
disturbing factors) and working memory load during the processing of manual-visual and oral-aural language. By testing individuals that are fluent in both a spoken and a sign language the same linguistic content is investigated in both language modalities.
Your work assignments will include planning and conducting functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) experiments, statistically analyze data, and present results in scientific and popular science settings.

The position is placed within the research project N200, which is a longitudinal project where relationships between hearing loss, cognition, and psychosocial aspects are examined. The project includes three groups (200 participants
in each, hence “N200”): people without hearing loss, people with hearing loss who use hearing aids, and people with hearing loss who do not use hearing aids. The groups are assessed on a comprehensive test battery of hearing and cognition on three occasions,
and psychosocial health and social participation is assessed on occasions two and three. The data collection from the second occasion is about to being completed.
