Dear members of the Auditory List, I would like to announce a PhD position (100%, 3 years, TV-L 13) in the NeuroAkustik lab at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg in southwestern Germany (close to the beautiful black forest; around 520 km south of Oldenburg).
The title of the research project is “Plasticity of the auditory system with respect to static time differences of the ear signals”. The project is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and aims towards a better understanding of the effect of static interaural time differences on sound localization and speech understanding, taking audio-visual interaction into account. Such static time differences typically occur in e.g. bimodal listeners or unilateral hearing aid users.
