Full-time postdoctoral research positions are currently available at Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) in the area of human communication and its disorders.
Our program includes a stimulating mix of highly qualified scientists who serve as potential postdoctoral mentors, a staff of research-oriented clinicians, and state-of-the-art laboratories. Postdoctoral trainees also benefit from strong core support
in providing services related to recruiting and testing human subjects as well for technology development needed in research.
These postdoctoral trainee positions are primarily funded by a T32 institutional training grant from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
Opportunities for collaborative research involving several laboratory groups are encouraged, as are interactions with other postdoctoral fellows at BTNRH.
Fellows create and refine a training plan with their mentor(s) according to their research directions, skills they wish to further develop, and career goals. An institution-wide Research Training Committee provides input on the training plan and comments
on trainees’ progress toward reaching their goals. Postdoctoral fellows are selected from individuals holding a Ph.D., M.D. or D.Sc. in areas related to the ongoing research programs at BTNRH.
Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents to qualify for T32 funding, but other sources of support exist for applicants who are not T32-eligible.
Candidates from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
