The Acoustics Group at the University of Oldenburg is looking for
a PostDoc in auditory perception
Salary is according to E13 TV-L, 100 %. The position is suitable for part-time work.
We are looking for candidates
to work on a project
(21 months in duration)
focusing on
the role of auditory stream segregation in speech perception. Within this project the contribution of various auditory grouping cues to speech intelligibility will be investigated with dedicated signal manipulation techniques and listening tests.
The acoustics group focuses on research in auditory perception, both covering fundamental and applied research questions and utilizes this knowledge to develop innovative
approaches in the fields of computational auditory scene analysis, and virtual acoustics. The University of Oldenburg is known for its wide range of activities in hearing research and offers an excellent environment for a PostDoc project in auditory perception.
The successful candidate is expected to conduct research in auditory perception leading to scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and to contribute to the
teaching and supervision of students.
The candidate must have an academic university degree (Master or equivalent)
in physics or electrical engineering or equivalent and a PhD degree in auditory perception.
Experience with
audio signal processing and auditory modelling is required.
