I'm happy to announce that the registration for our conference is officially open!
The Brain, Music & Cognition (BMC) 2019 conference will be held in
Jerusalem on December 16th -18th and will bring together experts of various fields, from Israel, Europe, and the US.
They will present ideas, methods, and findings, at the forefront of the research in music theory, music
composition and performance, ethnomusicology, music cognition, auditory perception, neurobiology, cognitive science, psychology and neuroscience.
The conference will include the participation of start-up Israeli companies that use music in therapeutic ways; A-Muse, 2gether and neurosteer, and much more...
The conference will be held in the new centre for brain research (ELSC) at the Edmond Safra campus at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, under the sponsorship of the Jerusalem Brain Community (JBC).
Overall, the conference will include 5 themes:
Music in the Framework of the Predictive Brain
Neuroaesthetics: Music & the Visual Arts
Beat, Rhythm, Synchronization and Entrainment
Music & Emotions
Disabilities and Music Therapy
