Gracenote is currently looking for an Audio Research Engineer to join the Applied Research team at Gracenote headquarters in Emeryville, California. Applied Research develops cutting-edge technologies related to music and audio, including audio content recognition, music classification, and audio enhancement solutions. You will be working on exciting projects with other passionate people helping to transform and enhance the way people experience audio and enjoy entertainment worldwide. 

Position requirements:

  • BS with 4+ years of experience in machine learning, audio signal processing, and software development; MS/PhD preferred
  • 2+ years of experience building/testing neural networks (deep learning) for audio or a related domain
  • Strong machine learning fundamentals (e.g. bias/variance, regularization, etc.) and probability/statistics
  • Proficiency with a neural net training stack such as Keras/TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and Python

Desirable:

  • Passion for audio and music
  • Knowledge of music information retrieval
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing services
  • Experience with handling large databases
