[AUDITORY] CIAP 2019 - Abstract submission open (until 15 March 2019)

Dear Auditory List,

We are happy to announce that abstract submission is now open for Conference on Implantable Auditory Prostheses (CIAP 2019)!

The conference will take place 14-19 July 2019, at Granlibakken, Lake Tahoe, CA. To submit an abstract, please go to the conference website (ciaphome.org), and follow the instructions under the “Abstracts” tab.  The deadline for submitting an abstract is 15 March, and notification for acceptance will be sent out on 15 April.

For more information, including a smashing preliminary program, please see below. Also, do not forget to check several funding support opportunities (student aid, dependent care support, and Laudanski travel grant) under the tab “Information.” The deadline to apply for these is also 15 March, with the same notification date of 15 April.

We are looking forward to a fun and productive meeting at Lake Tahoe.  See you in July!

Best,

Deniz Başkent

Also on behalf of Karen Gordon, Bob Shannon

Registration, Housing, Meals

For CIAP 2019 the registration fee is $50.  Fill out the registration form at the “registration” tab and book a room at the Granlibakken website as described below.  Granlibakken is an all-inclusive resort so all registrants’ lodging and meals are part of the meeting structure (the food at Granlibakken is excellent and routinely receives much praise from attendees - although there may be some weight gain).  Off campus residents who chose not to eat at the conference center will still be charged an off-campus fee for facilities use and for conference support costs (coffee, projector AV, etc).  We encourage all attendees to eat meals at Granlibakken to maximize the social opportunities and networking that occur at mealtimes.  Once the on-campus rooms are filled, Granlibakken has arranged for overflow rooms at nearby hotels.  Shuttle busses will take attendees back and forth from the conference facility to the local hotels on demand.  Book early to ensure a room on-campus.

To register for CIAP2019 and reserve a room follow these steps

1.   Go to www.Granlibakken.com

2.   Click on event/group reservations

3.   For group ID or Email use: CIAP19, Password: CIAP19

4.   Fill out the reservation form and Granlibakken will send out an email confirmation within 24-48 hrs.
