Do you want to work with a team of talented world-class machine learning and signal processing engineers to develop the next generation

solutions for hearing enhancement, health and wellness monitoring? Starkey Hearing Technologies are looking for two research interns for

Summer of 2019 at its international headquarters located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

You will

  • work with our research engineers to understand meaningful problems for our customers
  • work with our research engineers to generate and propose novel ideas to solve the idenfied problems
  • seek to file a patent application on your innovative solution
  • rapidly build proof of concepts using Matlab or Python
  • demonstrate the merit of the proposed solution using realistic data
  • be compensated competitively based on your knowledge, skills and experience

You are

  • a highly motivated Ph.D. student in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science or related field
  • experienced in audio and speech enhancement or health and wellness monitoring research
  • good at oral and written English communication
  • proficient in Matlab and Python
  • familiar with TensorFlow, SCIKIT LEARN, TORCH, Keras or SPARK
  • knowledgeable about statistical pattern recognition or other modern machine learning techniques including deep learning
