[AUDITORY] DAFx-19 Call for Papers

Happy new year!

We are pleased to invite the community to submit to the 22nd International Conference on Digital Audio Effects DAFx-19. The conference will be hosted at Birmingham City University's City Centre Campus in Birmingham, UK. The annual conference brings together academics, industry bodies and students from around the globe to participate in the development of Digital Audio Effects for music production, speech, sound design and other applications.

This year, the conference will be taking place on Monday 2nd September - Friday 6th September 2019. If you wish to submit a paper please take note of the following important dates.

  • Full paper deadline: Friday, 29th March 2019
  • Review Deadline: Friday, 24th May 2019
  • Final paper submission: Friday, 21st June 2019
  • Registration Deadline: Friday, 29th June 2019

Submission Guidelines

Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers according to one of the following two paper formats:

  • Oral presentation: 8 pages maximum in the proceedings (15 minutes talk, 5 minutes questions & answers)
  • Poster presentation: 8 pages maximum in the proceedings (2 minutes introductory poster presentation)

The program committee will decide the types of presentation based on the conference organisation, and the authors' preferences. Submitted papers must be camera-ready and conform to the format specified in the templates provided. 

All submissions will be subject to peer review. Acceptance may be conditional upon changes being made to the paper as specified by reviewers. Final versions of the accepted contributions will be published in the conference proceedings distributed to all registered delegates at the conference site and will be made freely available.

  • Source separation
  • Physical modelling, virtual acoustic and analogue models
  • Sound synthesis, composition and sonification
  • Hardware and software design
  • Music Information Retrieval and Intelligent Audio Engineering 

Publication

Selected DAFx19 papers will be invited for publication in a special edition of the Applied Sciences Journal.
