Scientific Communication Specialist CI for Oticon Medical The job The Scientific Communication Specialist Cochlear Implants at Oticon Medical contributes to gather, analyze and disseminate scientific knowledge and results from clinical research on cochlear implants, both inside the
company and into the market, communicating to scientists, clinicians and end-users. As an important link between the clinical research department and the rest of the organization, especially marketing and sales activities, this individual understands the current trends in the scientific and clinical
fields of cochlear implants and hearing healthcare, and is able to translate his knowledge and understanding into valuable communication tools to inform scientists, professionals and end-users about the activities of the company. Your main tasks and responsibilities are: • Maintain a scientific watch over the field of cochlear implants and associated technologies • Communicate outside and inside the company about main bibliographic trends in the field • Plan and write research protocols and documentation related to the conduct of clinical research studies • Coordinate clinical trials with external academic or medical partners • Analyze results from clinical research • Coordinate scientific communication activities with the marketing department to develop research-based and evidence-based collateral promoting Oticon Medical products and/or key differentiators in the market • Communicate scientific and clinical results in scientific or professional journals • Give presentations at national and international meetings • Facilitate the flow of new scientific and clinical information inside the company
Personal Qualifications We expect you to have a related education (Master’s or PhD), within hearing sciences, audiology, psychoacoustics, neuroscience, or another relevant scientific discipline. As an experienced scientist, you have expertise
within all parts of the scientific and clinical work and you are used to communicating scientific results. A history of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals or professional journals would be a plus. Experience within research project management
where you have the overview from protocol definition to results communication will be an advantage. To be successful in this job, it is important that you have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Further, you are quick at adapting to new tasks and you have a systematic and structured approach
to your work. You are dynamic, result-oriented with some leadership skills. You are fluent in English and French as these are the main languages in our company and area of activity, written and spoken.
