School of Physics and Optoelectronics, South China University of Technology (SCUT, Guangzhou, China, http://en.scut.edu.cn/), now invites applications for three tenured positions in 1. Acoustics; 2. Audio signal processing; 3. Auditory sciences.
All positions can be filled on professor/associate professor level and open to talented individuals who have excellent potential for a scientific career.
The candidate is expected to have a PhD degree in the general field of acoustics and a track record of competitive research experience in terms of good journal publications or industrial experience. Good leadership skill is a big plus.
SCUT is a research-intensive university in China. The School’s Acoustics Lab, currently directed by Professor Xie Bo-sun (author of the HRTF and VAD book), has been working on acoustics, especially spatial and binaural acoustics, since 1950s.
