[AUDITORY] Post-doctoral Research Associate Position Available at IU School of Medicine, Indianapolis---see below

Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available to work on two 5-year NIH-funded studies examining the speech, language, executive function and impact of family environment on children and adults who are deaf or hard of hearing and received a cochlear implant as a medical treatment for their profound hearing loss.

Description

The DeVault Otologic Research Laboratory in the Department of Otolaryngology-HNS at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking to fill an immediate opening for a new full-time postdoctoral research appointee in the area of spoken language and neurocognitive functioning in deaf children with cochlear implants.

Responsibilities will consist of implementation of methods, data analysis, and dissemination of results from a large, NIH-funded research project investigating neurocognitive and spoken language development in deaf children, adolescents, and adults with cochlear implants.  Additional responsibilities will include attendance at research meetings, collaboration with other investigators and research teams, and development and implementation of new ideas and methods in collaboration with the principal investigators. 

Requirements

Candidates should possess a PhD degree in psychology, neuroscience, speech and hearing science, or equivalent field.
