Dear colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce the first edition of the ICBHI Scientific Challenge. This Scientific Challenge aims to encourage the development of algorithms for respiratory sound analysis. The goal is to classify, for each respiratory cycle of a sound recording, whether that respiratory cycle contains adventitious sounds, such as crackles and wheezes.
To develop solutions for the challenge, participants have access to a respiratory sound database containing various events (e.g., noise, cough, wheezes, crackles) collected from healthy subjects and patients with different respiratory disorders. The events were annotated by health professionals.

Unofficial phase: 1 February - 1 July 2017
Abstract submission: 5 July 2017
